Communion & confirmation

First Holy Communion / Confirmation are important milestones in your child's life and deserves to be celebrated with beautiful portraits that you can all treasure forever. We understand the amount of effort and detail that goes into preparing for your little ones special day and so it's our job to capture its true natural beauty. Our studio is based at 3 Colby Ave, Culmore Rd, Derry - L'derry, Northern Ireland, BT48 8PF.

THE FIRST HOLY COMMUNION - CONFIRMATION PROCESS

Our approach is to create portraits of your child in a mix of contemporary, formal and fun poses and then invite the rest of the family to join in for portraits in various combinations. You are more than welcome to include siblings, mum and dad, grandparents and godparents in your portraits. Communion - Confirmation sessions normally last for about an hour.

DURING THE SESSION

Your Communion - Confirmation session will be relaxed and enjoyable, resulting in photos which are natural and authentic. I give some subtle direction to ensure your little one is in the most flattering light and position, then I just let them be so I can capture them naturally. After these photographs I then invite the rest of the family and god parents to take part if they like. This is your chance to take an hour or so out of your busy lives’ to just enjoy each others’ company. I find out all about your child / children in our chat before the session, so I know how to get the best out of them during the shoot. I pride myself out of getting the best out of the most reluctant of subjects, big and small!

Top tip: We recommend leaving the word "cheese" at home as it tends to lead to unnatural smiles.
